When you sign up or set your VIP subscription payments to Apple Pay or Google Pay, the system uses a secure feature called tokenisation. Instead of sending us your actual card number, your bank issues a unique device-specific number (sometimes called a virtual account number). This protects your real card details and helps keep your payments safe.
What does this mean for me?
You may notice a different card number appearing in your account than the one on your physical card. This is completely normal and is how Apple Pay and Google Pay keep your information secure. Payments will still come from the same card you added to your digital wallet.
Will this affect my VIP subscription?
No — your subscription will continue as normal. The only difference is that you may see a different card number displayed when you log in to your Mater Lotteries Online Account.
What if I change or update my card?
If you update your card in Apple Pay or Google Pay, a new unique number will be created. We recommend checking your VIP account to ensure the payment method is still active and valid.
