Following Australian consumer law guidelines, Mater Lotteries is not obligated to provide a refund for any 'change of mind' decisions related to the purchase of a ticket in Mater Prize Home or Cars for Cancer lotteries.
Where an individual believes that an administrative error has been made by them or Mater we will consider the refund on a case-by-case basis.
Mater supports the Responsible Gambling Policy, we will provide the ticket purchaser with every opportunity to self-exclude from a lottery and request a refund if they have extended beyond their financial means.
Ticket refunds are only available in open lotteries; meaning refunds on Mater Prize Home or Cars for Cancer lottery tickets will not be payable once the lottery has been closed for ticket sales.
A refund will only be processed back to the credit card, bank account or PayPal account that was initially charged within 5-7 business days.
All refund requests must be initiated by the original account holder via email to lotteries@mater.org.au
